Yoga

Our standard yoga sessions are warm - not hot - and make a perfect addition to your fitness routine. Think of yoga as the perfect complement to more intense workouts, offering both physical and mental benefits.

Yoga plays a unique and vital role in enhancing your workouts and overall fitness journey. Here’s why:

  • Flexibility and Mobility: Yoga improves your range of motion and stretches tight muscles, helping prevent injuries and enhancing performance in other exercises.

  • Core Strength: Many yoga poses engage your core muscles, which supports stability and balance for activities like weightlifting or running.

  • Recovery and Relaxation: Practicing yoga can accelerate muscle recovery by increasing blood flow to tissues and reducing post-workout soreness. Plus, its focus on breathing and relaxation helps reduce stress and improve mental clarity.

  • Balance and Coordination: Yoga poses challenge your balance and stability, which can translate to improved coordination in other sports or workouts.

  • Mind-Body Connection: Yoga promotes mindfulness and body awareness, helping you stay focused and in tune with your movements during physical activity.

Hot Yoga

Hot yoga, practiced in a heated room (typically ours are around 87-93°F), offers several unique benefits.

  • Improved Flexibility: The heat helps warm up your muscles, allowing you to stretch deeper and improve range of motion safely.

  • Detoxification: Sweating profusely during hot yoga may help eliminate toxins from your body and leave you feeling refreshed.

  • Enhanced Cardiovascular Health: The combination of heat and physical effort can elevate your heart rate, providing a light cardiovascular workout even in a yoga session.

  • Increased Calorie Burn: Hot yoga often burns more calories compared to regular yoga due to the higher intensity and heat.

  • Stress Relief: The heat, combined with focused breathing and mindful movements, can help reduce stress and promote relaxation.

  • Improved Circulation: The heat dilates blood vessels, improving blood flow and oxygenation throughout the body.

Hot Barre

A barre workout is a low-impact, high-intensity exercise inspired by ballet, Pilates, and yoga. It focuses on small, controlled movements to tone muscles, improve posture, and increase flexibility.

  • Barre Work: The core of the workout happens at the ballet barre. You'll do exercises like pliés, leg lifts, and pulses to target your thighs, glutes, and calves.

  • Core Strengthening: Classes include ab work on a mat, focusing on stability and strengthening your core muscles.

  • Upper Body Toning: Using light hand weights, balls, or resistance bands, you'll do arm-focused exercises..

  • Stretching: The sessions end with stretches to release tension and improve flexibility.

Barre workouts are known for their focus on form and alignment, often engaging muscles you didn't even know you had. It's a great choice for building strength, enhancing flexibility, and improving overall body awareness. Even better, ours is done in the hot room, so you also have all the benefits of Hot Yoga!

Hot Mat Pilates Fusion

A mat Pilates workout is a low-impact method that focuses on strengthening the core, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall body alignment. It sometimes uses small props like resistance bands, balls, or small weights.

  • The core is the star of Pilates. You'll perform moves like the "Hundred," leg lifts, and planks to engage and strengthen your abdominals, lower back, and obliques.

  • Full-Body Movements: Pilates includes exercises that target other areas, such as bridges for glutes, side-lying leg lifts for hips and thighs, and arm raises for the shoulders.

  • Spinal Mobility: Moves like "Roll-Ups" and "Rolling Like a Ball" promote spine flexibility and improve posture.

  • Balance and Control: You'll work on balance and stability through slow, controlled movements, often requiring focus and precision.

  •

Mat Pilates is versatile and can be modified to suit all fitness levels, making it a fantastic choice for building strength and mobility while being gentle on the joints. And of course, our are in the hot room!
